Three levels in marine biological structure diversity
Life in the ocean, where evolution began, comprises of more major classification groups, which altogether represent separate evolutionary paths, than does life on land. Of the approximately 55 groups, 80% include species that are marine, while about 50% include species found on land. It is therefore certain that in the ocean there are more species that are very different from each other, although it is not yet known which section has the most species.
Biodiversity simply means the life on Earth. It generally refers to the variety of living organisms on our planet and the number of organisms, found within a specific area of the environment (ecosystem) . The greater biodiversity in a specific area, a stronger ecosystem is created. A lack of biodiversity can lead to a simplified ecosystem structure, that can either collapse under the influence of small incidents or be transformed. Over previous years, biodiversity has declined in ecosystems over the world, as us, humans have removed species or altered ecosystems, for our own uses.
Biodiversity also includes marine biodiversity, Life in the world's Seas and Oceans.
